You know what they say... It's paved with good intentions. I always have the best of intentions to keep this little puppy updated, but I seem to be failing miserably. Anyhoodles... I'll just asterisk it. Easier that way.

* First off, thanks to [personal profile] cyloran for my giftie!!! I do appreciate it!! (If you're curious about my holiday wishes, that can be found here.) I'm hoping to get Christmas cards and stuff out within the next week or so.

* Tomorrow is the holiday show thingy at school. Well, it's held in a Roman Catholic church's auditorium area, but all the sites gather there. It should be interesting. Monday we're supposed to have a walkthrough. Oh joy oh rapture. Tuesday I've got a workshop!! Woohoo!!!! Then it's a week until break.

* I am pretty much SET for my trip to the Emily Skinner/Julia Murney/Rachel York concert in February at Strathmore! I've had my ticket (well, it's ordered and in their system...I opted for the free will-call) for a while. I now have bus tickets down and back - thanks to MegaBus and their holiday giveaway that is ONLY the 50 cent booking fee!!!!! A friend of mine from college in the area - actually very convenient to Strathmore - has said I can stay with her and her family for the night! Woot!!! And I officially am approved for taking February 5 as a "self treat day for personal business". I never knew how that was supposed to work until absences (not specific to anyone but in general) got brought up at our UFT meeting. Now I know. You email the principal and ask. Thankfully she approved it. :)

* So happy the teacher's choice reimbursement did in fact hit the bank today!! Also glad that there is a Chase branch a couple of blocks from my apartment. I left EARLY this morning to go by and get the cash I knew I'd need. Grabbed breakfast on my way to the subway (great little Latin food place...and they were so cool that had the guy begging me and another customer to buy him oatmeal not been run out by the time our food was ready they were going to trust us to come back and pay later so we didn't have to take out money with him in there), then went to school. I put money aside to pay Carli back for the n2n ticket from last week. Then I got soda at lunch to get change so I could pay for the hot pocket and tea I had yesterday (at school we have that to help support the SPORT store (incentive program for the kidlets) and set aside money for buying RJ and my tickets for WHEN we win the ticket lottery at next to normal on Sunday night (Anyone who can help, we'd totally appreciate it!!! Names taken from 5:30-6 and pulled at 6!!). I have laundry money out. I went to Trader Joe's to grab stuff to hold me until payday on Tuesday. And there's enough in there I can still go and see A Single Man on Saturday and have some foodstuffs money for Sunday afternoon. Yay!!

* Playwriting class is over for this session. I'm 99% sure I'm giving myself the level 2 class as a Christmas present. I'll make that decision next week. I'd have the same teacher for the level 2 class this time, which would be especially good as I'd be continuing the play I've started and he already knows the history of it...or whatever the term is.

* I was teaching today and nowhere near Times Square when this went down. I'm perfectly fine. I have encountered those pushers though - or some like them. It's best just to pretend you don't speak English and keep walking when they're around. Though I have been known to say "If it's not showtunes, don't even bother talking to me." Depends on my mood and the amount of people and/or cops around. If you're going to be a smart ass to them, better to have more people around - less chance of something happening to you.

* I gave in and got one of those formspring things. I may regret it (and kinda do since a scab got ripped off, but I'll live), but... Ask me anything http://formspring.me/violetangel

Ok...I think that's it for now. I swear I'll try to be better!!!
